Frozen

We had an abnormally cold night, and woke up to -4C (25F) yesterday morning. Almost a record low for this area. Some of the campers had frozen water lines, and a copper line that runs on the outside of our office building had split. Things warmed up quickly though, and soon that split line was pouring out water. Easy to turn the water off to that line, and I fixed it later in the morning.

And, I had purposely left a few of the water sprinklers on because things have been so dry. Didn't plan on things getting that cold though. No harm done, but the picture is kind of funny...

Yep, it got a little chilly...

Looks like it snowed!

The day turned out not bad though, and it's supposed to be nice for the rest of the week. The long weekend campers have left, and those who were here appeared to have a good time. We actually don't have any more reservations until around June 20th, but that's normal. People will still show up on the weekends depending on the weather at the time.

We got some more cleanup done, and I'll get the last washroom kicked into gear today. Lots of small projects to do as well. A couple of toilet valves to replace...things like that.

Me, with my leaf blower outfit. We cleaned the leaves from our front lawn for the 4th time!

My shadow looks like something out of Star Wars. Too funny.

    1. We will be around 26C (79F) for most of the week, so it should be a beautiful week here. 90F would be a little to hot for working outside all day long for for lazying around it would be perfect.

    1. We have even heard from a few campers that they have even known it to snow here in June, although that is a rare thing.

  4. It was in the high 80's here yesterday, but colder now for a few days, coming from the west I suppose.

  5. Your sprinklers on not only left a fun pattern but may have saved some other water leaks. Looking forward to summer.

    1. Yes, that is possible but other than that one leak we haven't found any others. It didn't take long for things to warm up here and we actually had quite a nice day. This week sounds like it should be perfect. Hope your weather has warmed up too Gaelyn.

    1. Why do you think we head south in the winter! It is not fit for human habitation here in the winter, although you will find some that love the winter and they are welcome to it.

  9. Oh dear. Those picnic tables make me shiver. I do like those photos with all the sun.

    1. It didn't take long for the sun to melt away all that ice. It sure did look pretty and funny all at the same time because everywhere else around that area was normal and then smack dab in the middle was all this ice.

    1. This is pretty normal for around here. It usually isn't until the beginning of June that you can be pretty sure not to see freezing temperatures at night anymore. No, there was no more damage, at least not that we know of.

  11. Here it's 34C and the humidity will choke you. Enjoy the "cool" weather!

    1. Yes, that sounds pretty hot and the humidity doesn't help! Should be a beautiful week here with temperatures between 24 -26C, to us that is about perfect.

  12. Can't have a long holiday week-end without a couple of issues to keep you on your toes. And look at the beauty you created. I think it's funny that you're is the second blog I've read today that had somebody taking a selfie of their shadow. Love it.

    1. If that is all that we have to deal with on a holiday weekend then I think we did just fine. Hopefully all the other long weekends will be problem free. That frozen water from the sprinkler really did look pretty!

That is too funny about the shadows, I hope their shadow was interesting/funny too!
