Thinking of Puerto Escondido

Those of you who are regular readers will remember when we asked for your help when our friends in Puerto Escondido were having some medical problems. The operation that little Gael had in 2013 was a complete success and he seems to have grown into a normal, active little boy!

We sometimes get photos sent to us, and thought we would share a couple of recent ones here.

Nataly is now almost 7 years old and little brother Gael turned 3 in May.

Not sure yet if we'll make it down to Puerto Escondido this coming winter, but we'll decide on a plan when we return to Mexico City from Colombia in mid December.

And why was I thinking of Puerto Escondido? Because it was damn cold here this morning! Temperature went down to a record low 0C (32F) overnight last night and we had to put the heat on in the house trailer when we got up!

But, the forecast is for a beautiful week with clear sunny skies and daytime highs around 29C (84F).

Have a great Sunday!

  1. It's starting to get cool here at night as well. Makes you think winter is coming or something :) There was some snow in Alberta this week....

    1. We don't mind cool nights as long as the days are still pleasant. Alberta had snow in August last year too, good thing it doesn't stick around.

  2. It got down to a chilly 10 degrees :) here overnight on Vancouver Island. Daytime highs are not what they should be though. Took a walk on the beach yesterday and the water on the sandbars that normally is warm this time of year due to daytime heating was VERY cold. And the sand crabs were no where to be seen. Maybe an early winter?

  4. I'll trade you that 32 for my 90,,, you're all to cushy,, up there complaining that the temperatures 32 next thing you're going to be looking for is ice skaters on the lake and ice fishermen along with Caribous
Well your Canadians you're supposed to know how to tough it out
Now that the suns out and it's warm you can run naked through the flowers and The fields (don't take the camera )

    1. Not really complaining, having it cool or colder at night makes it nice for sleeping, just don't want it freezing during the day. Kevin and I aren't hardy Canadians anymore, we have spent too many winters in the south now that we start to shiver at the first sign of cooler weather.
