Really looking forward to getting this done! One of the things that has bothered me since the day we bought Sherman eight years ago is that I could never get his roof to look clean. Not that anyone ever sees it but me, but it still bothered me. So this procedure today should make his roof look like brand new according to the many reviews of this coating product's capabilities that I have read.
And of course it will revitalize the deteriorating rubber that makes the roof itself waterproof. That is the main reason I'm doing this.
Including drying time of the different materials, it should be about a five hour job. I have to go into town and buy some materials and I'm doing that as soon as I finish posting this. So I should be back here around 8:30am and I'll get to work on it right away. Should be done by 2:00pm which gives it time to cure in the sun before dark.
The park is pretty much empty. Kids in Saskatchewan go back to school tomorrow. Oh, except we have visitors! Blog readers Barrie and Lorrie are on their way west from Winnipeg and wanted to stop in and say hi. Nice! I'll get a picture of them and their neat little class B van before they leave.
Gotta get to work...have a great Monday!

It's always great to get a job done and be able to have perfect conditions to do it. Warm and sunny here in southwestern Ontario as well. We picked a great week to house and pet sit. There's a pool, so John's a happy camper. Me? Air conditioning...oh, yeah! Enjoy your visitors and have a super day. :)
ReplyDeleteWell, it was almost perfect conditions, we did have a little more wind than Kevin would have liked to have had but other than that it was great out for this task.
DeleteNice to have a pool when you having such a great week of weather, enjoy your time there! :-)
I hope it works well. A big savings if it does. Alberta kids went back to school today but BC kids don't until next week.
ReplyDeleteKevin is pretty confident that it will work! Can't believe how white the roof looks now. :-)
DeleteNothing better than an RV roof that does not leak:)
ReplyDeleteThe roof wasn't leaking but we wanted to be pro-active on re-coating it so that we would be sure that it wouldn't leak for a long, long time.
