Visitors!

We haven't had many visitors this summer. In fact, other than when our son came for a surprise visit in June, we haven't had any visitors.

So we were happy to hear that some fellow Mexican RV travelers were coming to say hello!

Tom and Carroll are originally from London, Ontario but have called Medicine Hat, Alberta their home for the last 20 years or so. But like many retired Canadians, they travel somewhere warmer during the winter!

They keep a blog at Tommy's Travels, but they only update it when they're actually traveling.

Last year when we were in Lo de Marcos in December, Ruth had gone to the Santa Claus parade with some other people from the La Parota RV park where we were staying. I didn't go because I had stubbed my toe really badly and it hurt to walk! While at the parade, Ruth bumped into Tom and Carroll, and found out that they were regular readers of this blog.

Medicine Hat is about a three hour drive from the park, so they decided to hop in their 40 foot diesel pusher motorhome  and come for a short visit!

We had them over to our place for dinner last night, and we're going to their motorhome for dinner tonight! Interesting talking to them, since they have also been South Africa where they rented a small motorhome for three months, and they have done the same thing in New Zealand and Australia.

Forgot to get a photo last night, but I'll get one of them today with their motorhome.

  1. Amazing all the friends you develop when you live on the road, for us it's more than we lived in a house. Go figure... :c0

    1. You are so right Paul and Marti and I think we have more friends on the road than we did when we had our house as well!

    1. Yes, it was interesting to hear about the places they have traveled to that we want to travel to as well. Many of the places they went to, they rented an RV and then traveled and we think that traveling in places like Australia and New Zealand that is the only way to do it so it was great to get their view of it.
