Yesterday, I moved Sherman (our motorhome) down to the campsite nearest our house trailer so that we could start getting him cleaned up and ready to live in again. Over the next two days we'll transfer everything over to him, and then by Monday night we'll be sleeping in the motorhome again. Yay!
Our son Alex and his racing partner Matt are doing the City Chase National Finals in Ottawa today.
Their 2nd place finish at the regional event in July gave them a guaranteed spot in the National Finals competing against 24 other teams from across Canada. The regional events are won in about two and a half hours, with most teams taking between four and six hours to complete the event.
The National Finals race is an 18 hour event! They had to be at the starting point at 5:00am this morning! He was really excited for this, so it'll be interesting to see how they do.

ReplyDeleteThankfully it isn't a real arrow. Did you notice the big flat end to the "arrow", still if it hit you body it might have smarted a bit. We'll find out late tonight how they did.

ReplyDeleteWe heard from Alex last night with his standings but I'll leave that for the post today. It was a quick talk so we will find out more about the obstacles they had to work through and if those "arrows" smarted or not.
DeleteSherman is getting very excited, I am sure he smiles every time we climb in to clean him and stock him knowing it won't be long before we hit the road.
I had forgotten the race is today. Great weather for it - a high of 19 and sunny. Let me know how it finishes?

ReplyDeleteNot to sure but I think it is dark! We have seen that a few times and we will be seeing it again next Thursday in order to make our flight to Ottawa, so we'll let you know. ;-)
