We had gone through a couple of days of rain, so it was nice to see the sun shining again.
When we get a couple of days of rain, the earth turns to mud and it takes a couple of more days to dry up nicely. Ruth had to go into town yesterday morning, and the poor little blue car got a little muddy!
Poor little blue car. :-(
That thick heavy mud turns to concrete when it dries, so I went up to the shop and it took me about a half hour to rinse it all off.
Off for our hike...
Ruth in the riverhills.
A nice view of the park. The water level continues to rise. It's at it's highest level so far this year. Too little too late!
Lake Diefenbaker, looking east.
The coulee is starting to change color.
A healthy looking coyote.
Nice view.
Back at the park.

If you haven't seen it yet, you need to look at the new Fire Tablet from Amazon....for the price, you can't go wrong!
Pretty photos (except little blue car of course), just ordered an Apple I Pad, 8GB would not be enough for me, need at least 16GB to make me happy :)
ReplyDeleteLol...slightly different price point Karyn!
Deleteyah but i need the space.... oh well!
DeleteLooks like a gorgeous day and gorgeous hike.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful day and the hike was wonderful but we really do look forward to some higher ground.
DeleteWe have had a lot of rain this week too - again, too little too late. They finally lifted our water restriction yesterday lol.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you are finally getting some rain, at least it sounds like it is enough to stop any more forest fires. Lets, hope that it just knows when to stop!
DeleteNice to get out for a hike again, getting ready for you winter travels.
ReplyDeleteWe noticed that we must have been fairly physical over the last 5 months because it seems like our leg muscles haven't been having any problems getting back into the hiking scene.
DeleteGreat scenery, glad I do not have to wash the car:)
ReplyDeleteGood thing it is the car and not the motorhome that has to be washed off! ;-)
DeleteIt's truly a beautiful place. The province has wonderful scenery. I take it you are going to work there again next year.
ReplyDeleteIt really is a pretty area here along the river. The rest of the province has some amazing scenery too, if people would get off the main roads to find it.
DeleteYes, it looks like we will be back again next year.
