Yay! He passed!

I was up at 6:00am this morning because I had to have Sherman at his insurance inspection for 8:00am.

I was a little worried about a couple of things, but it turned out they were pretty minor. I had a burnt out licence plate light bulb, and piece of hose for the windshield washer was split. Other than that, Sherman is ready to get a Saskatchewan licence plate!

Quite the nice sunrise this morning. Odd that it only lasted a few minutes, but I managed to get a couple of nice shots.

Sure felt good to take Sherman for a drive. He was itching to hit the road, just about as much as we are! I made it to the highway, and he wanted to turn south...all the way to Mexico. But I had to remind him that he's got to be patient. Plus, we've still got a little more work to do to him yet.

Not bad, for a 20 year old!

While I was in town I popped into the post office and sure enough Sherman's new shocks were sitting there. I only ordered them on Tuesday morning!

A fantastic deal on disposable shop towels. These are the heavy duty blue ones, the same as I used to use in my workshop! This is a great deal for 12 rolls...

Oh, and a great lightning deal this morning too. We bought this exact same rechargeable battery pack for your smart phone and we have nothing but good things to say about it. Except we paid more than this!

    1. It is so peaceful here now that the summer season is over here. It's almost like we have the park to ourselves.

Definitely nice to have all that behind us. All we have to do now is go and get the license plate and that's the easy part. :-)

  4. What a relief - no gigantic bill to bring Sherman up to SK standards. Really nice pictures, love the colour.

    1. Phew, so glad that we didn't end up with a huge bill, sometimes you just never know what to expect with these inspections. Kevin was pretty confident that he would do well, after all, Kevin is the doing all the necessary repairs to keep Sherman in tiptop shape.

    1. Kevin was pretty confident but there were a few things like the back brakes that he wasn't so sure about because he couldn't remove the wheels himself to have a look. That was really our main concern, so it was a relief to know that they passed the test.

  7. The Jackery hot deal prices have dipped almost 50% since I bought mine just over a year ago. By the time I need to buy my next one, they will be selling for peanuts :) 😏

    1. That's normally what happens with some of the new technology. I remember years ago never wanting to be the first in line for anything new coming out, instead we waited for a year or so and the price was always much lower. When they start selling for peanuts you can then by 2 and have a spare! ;-)
