Ready for the weekend!

Had a nice breakfast yesterday morning with friends Kimberley and Bruce. They had some questions about our lifestyle and how we do things because they're both around our age and from the conversation, they're obviously looking for something different at this stage in their lives.

So, they asked all the right questions and hopefully we were able to help them with their decision.

We get a lot of satisfaction when people ask questions about how to live like we do. There is more to life than sitting behind a desk and waiting for your two or three weeks off every year. People spend far too much of their lives working.

After breakfast, I drove up to the "cottage" where I met with my friends. This is a group of guys who have known each other since we were all around 16 years old.

Nice place...but it better be for $1,500 per weekend!

The first drink...a nice Irish whiskey!

One of the patios.

The lake.

Another patio. Gorgeous.

The house itself.

Relaxing.

Interesting selection of wine for dinner!

Kitchen and dining.

Nice pool table will get lots of use this weekend.

Looking down on the main living room.

Dinner is almost ready.

Lots of laughs last night. I hurt from laughing too much!

  2. Well, 1,500 does sound like (and is) a bunch of money, but that place looks awesome. Sure not a cottage, and maybe even beyond a mere 'house'.
    Wowsers.
Hopefully not too windy up that way. We're getting our share.

    1. Yeah, I wouldn't call it a cottage either! I was a fair bit of money but when it is split between them all it isn't too bad and everyone had a bed to sleep on.

    1. Kevin said it was a beautiful place! I am sure they left it in reasonable shape but I doubt it was as clean as when they arrived. ;-)

    1. Yep, lots of wine, beer and other adult beverages. Had some making up to do after almost going cold turkey all summer. :-)
