One of the things we had to do was get the propane filled. We're going to leave the fridge on, and that will use about a half a tank of propane over the next six weeks. I asked Chago's wife if she could call the propane truck, and sure enough a couple of hours later they pulled right up to the motorhome and filled us up. Total cost 400 pesos ($32.80 CAD) for 51 liters. 7.76 pesos per liter. (About $2 USD per gallon).
Ruth says she was bothered by a mosquito, but I slept like a rock last night. Which is good because I don't usually sleep well the night before a trip. Too excited!
Just waiting for the traffic into town to clear up, maybe another half hour and then we're off to take the collectivo to the bus station. Our flight isn't until after midnight tonight, so who knows if we'll come across another source of internet between now and when we arrive in Colombia.
The next time you hear from us on this blog will be from Colombia! First time in South America!
We'll try and post updates to facebook as we go along, provided we can get on the internet. First plan when we get to Medellin airport will be to buy a SIM card for the iPhone to use in Colombia.
Okay...better get going....see you in South America!
