Change of plans...

Our original schedule with the RV caravan group had us leading them down to the coast at Melaque on March 3rd from Valle de Juarez. That would have been our last official day with them, and the other group leader, Paul would be meeting us there. We probably would have hung around for a day or two just to relax at the beach prior to heading north.

We want to be in southern California by March 25th or so.

But now, Paul has said that he's coming up to meet us at Valle de Juarez. And because we both know that there is a good dentist there, he has offered to lead the group to Melaque so that I can stay behind and get my dental work done.

Plus, we get to stay in Valle de Juarez... an area that we really like... for an extra couple of days.

So while it's not written in stone yet, that's probably what we'll do.

We told you that we were going to have a few relax days this week, and so yesterday was the first of those. We didn't do much! And, we didn't take any photos!

We sat outside and read for a while in the morning. Ruth did a daily bucket of laundry. I had a nap for an hour.

We were invited to Jim and Betty's rig to watch the Daytona 500 race on their outdoor TV. That was kind of fun because I used to watch a lot of Nascar prior to our RV'ing days and haven't seen a race for quite some time. It was a good race, and had an exciting finish!

After that, we bumped into a Mexican couple who were asking about our motorhome. It turned out that they are the owners of a little old Winnebago that is parked a few spots over from us...

A 24' Winnebago...1987!

They had only bought it recently, and were asking questions. They also haven't used their awning yet, and it's almost exactly the same as Sherman's, so I'll go over this morning and show them how to get it set up.

And then they invited us over for snacks and a drink. Fun getting some more practice with our Spanish, and it sure feels rewarding when someone who speaks the language tells you that "your Spanish is really good"!

And yet it could be so much better! That's fine...I really feel that we've made some more improvement this year, so we're pleased with that.

Also this morning, I'm going to help one of the group take his trailer tires in to get the tires reversed on the rims.

Not sure what else is in the cards today, but I'm pretty sure it will involve more relaxation!

Still on sale...a two pack of camping lanterns. Considering that they come with batteries included, the price is almost too good to be true...

And in Canada, a deal for movie buffs... the 20th Century Fox 75th anniversary collection. 75 movies for $120...

    1. Yep, I see that. It only changed this morning. Still $25 for Canadians shopping at Amazon.ca, but that's a good thing because prices are so much higher to begin with!

    1. They were so happy when Kevin helped them with it yesterday. He oiled the mechanisms for him and helped show him how it worked and then watched him while he did it himself a few times so that he knew how to do it.

  4. Wagon mistress Bobbi (My sister in law) will be flying home when we get to Puerto Valalrta. My wife will then take over wagon mistress duties until March 21st. At that point my sister, wagon mistress Jill, who has led the last 2 Fall caravans with me will be flying in to take over. This caravan is fortunate in that they will meet all of my sister wives. Out of all of them, Jill has the best sense of humour. Previous customers have loved her.

    1. Not sure if they know it or not but they sure do like their unit, that was until they saw the inside of Sherman. They really loved the fact that Sherman had a "salon", they don't really have a separate sitting area in their unit.
