Our daughter Lindsey and grandchildren Cameron (5) and Sadie (2 1/2) arrive today for a two week visit. So I'm heading to Regina airport fairly early this morning, and it's a three hour drive each way.
There's not enough room in the little blue car for two of us to go though, so Ruth will stay behind and look after the park.
Here's a couple of pics taken around the park yesterday...
This osprey was enjoying it's dinner.
Until I got to close and it flew away...taking it's meal with it!
Oh...and our owls are old enough to leave the nest! We spotted the first one to leave on a branch lower down, but in the same tree.
This one has not yet left the nest.
But this one was about three limbs lower down. Watching us intently!
A goldfinch?
Lot of lilacs out this year.
This rabbit thought he was hiding from us!

DeleteNice for you guys to be able to see your daughter and grandkids. Yes, that is definitely a gold finch - I buy thistle feed to attract them to my feeder and they show up every spring like clockwork.
ReplyDeleteWe have really been looking forward to seeing them! It was last October when we saw them last so it has been far too long.
DeleteWe have lots of goldfinches around, and some of the campers have feeders out for the birds.
