These will be great for travel in the motorhome...

Well, the muscles got their second work out of the season yesterday as we cleaned up most of the fallen branches from the day use area. It does seem to be going a little faster than last year though because there aren't as many leaves around.

Although we get a lot of leg and aerobic exercise from the hiking we do over the winter, our upper body muscles don't get much exercise at all over the winter. Before RV'ing came into our lives we both used to do a lot of gym workouts, and even had a nice home gym at our house. Ruth even worked at a gym for quite a while.

I had to drive into town yesterday to pick up something at the post office that had arrived a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday was the last day to pick it up otherwise they would send it back. When we arrived on Friday, it was after the post office had already closed.

Anyhow, yesterday I picked up our new home gym!

Yep. The entire kit weighs about 2 lbs!

Here's what you get.

Of course there are all kinds of different exercises you can do with these bands. And yes, it comes with a guide.

This will be great for use when we travel in the motorhome, as well as being able to throw in one or two bands when we travel to different countries because they are so lightweight.

As with any exercise equipment...it only works if you use it! I'm pretty good when I make a commitment to something, so I'm looking forward to getting back at it. It only takes about a half an hour a day.

Ruth got a couple more good owl pics yesterday. Mom is starting to get used to us and doesn't fly away when we get close to the tree.

Feed me Mom!

Another beautiful day...sunshine and 28C (83F) in the forecast for today!

    1. We also had a similar product that we bought a few years ago from Walmart and unfortunately it started falling apart that first winter we used it, Right away Kevin could tell that this one is much better quality so hopefully it will last. Good to hear that you like yours and that it is working out for you.

    1. She is very watchful but seems to be warming up to us. I worked on raking up all the twigs on the ground around the tree where her nest is and she stayed put the whole time.

    1. Thanks Connie and Barry! Is that a hint that we should be making a calendar? ;-)

    1. If you look again in the last picture of Kevin the box is actually small, but unfortunately Amazon packed it inside a bigger box, not sure why?! Anyways yes, Saskatchewan has an excellent recycling program one of the best that we have seen yet!

  5. I bought the BMP bands too and have been using them for a few weeks now - I would recommend them. You do need to make sure you have a well-situated door hinge in which to anchor the bands for most of the exercises.
(BTW, the BMP box was quite compact - for some reason Amazon had to put it into another completely unnecessary bigger box!)

    1. Glad that you are enjoying them. We will keep that in mind when we anchor it up to the door. :-)

  6. LOL, that first photo of the box does make it look bigger than the chair. But you can see the actual size of the same box in the photo with Kevin.

    1. Very good to hear, Sherry as I know both you and Dave get lots of exercising in so I am sure you have tested it well.

That's Mama and "babies" although you can't see the other baby in the pictures Kevin posted! :-)
