Postcards from Sherman!

Sherman sent us a couple of postcards from his adventure. He says he's having a great time, and enjoying nice weather. He hasn't driven very far. The people who are driving him are in no rush and are just taking their time.

He says that today, they will be going to beautiful Banff, Alberta!

Here is the first one...

He spent three nights at Blood Creek Campground near Big Stone, Alberta.

And then he went on an adventure to Drumheller, Alberta.
I hope that big dinosaur doesn't go for a poop on poor Sherman!

Meanwhile back here at Cabri Park, we had a horrendous thunderstorm in the late afternoon. It poured buckets for about a half an hour, and then a light rain for a couple of hours after that. The rain guage says we got an inch and a half, and I bet most of it was during that half hour. And, some small hail too...

Yikes. Look at the water pouring out of the drainspout on the left.

Okay, this is funny. You can actually buy Radioactive Uranium Ore on Amazon...

Of course they state that it's only for educational or scientific use. Good thing Kim Jong Il doesn't have an Amazon account. Or does he...? You have to read some of the reviews...too funny!

    1. We are just a tiny bit jealous that we aren't with him, well maybe a little more than a tiny bit! We had a better day as well but looks like there will be more rain on Saturday. :-(

  3. We've had more than our share of storms here also. I love it when it rains because we really really need it - but the wind and hail can go away any time. Glad to see Sherman is having such a great time.

    1. We have definitely had enough rain now, it never rains this much here but it is nice to see everything green. Agreed, we can certainly do without the wind and hail. Looks like he is having a fantastic time.

  4. It does kind of look like Sherman is in jeopardy of being dumped on, classic picture.

  7. How thoughtful of Sherman to be sending post cards. It's a dying art. Those reviews of the Uranium are a hoot.

    1. Just wait until you see his next one! We are totally jealous now.

Aren't they though, some people have a great imagination.

  8. If Kim Jong-il still has an active Amazon account, that uranium must be good stuff---since he has been dead for almost five years!

  9. I told my husband today that we haven't heard from "Kevin & Ruth" in a while. Maybe they're busy with the campground. I was surprised to see we missed several weeks of your blog. I don't know why the posts did not go to either of our emails. I did try to "rejoin" the blog again by submitting my email address, but the message came back that my email was already recognized. Not sure why we aren't receiving the posts, but it was good to catch up on the goings on.

    1. Sorry Misskitty, not sure why that is happening. I wish we could offer some kind of suggestion to help you out. It is rare that we would go more than one day without a post so just keep that in mind.
