Happy Independence Day to our American readers!

We've spent a fair bit of time exploring the United States of America, and today we're going to help our American friends and readers celebrate their national holiday by showing you a variety of pics we've taken over the years that symbolize the patriotism that most Americans share.

Happy Birthday America!

The Capitol Building in Washington, D.C.

WW II Memorial with Lincoln Memorial in the background.Washington, D.C.

July 4th celebrations at Jacobs Field, Cleveland, Ohio.

Kevin, with his "July 4th" t-shirt. So called, because that's the only day he wears it!
And yes, he's wearing it today!

Nothing more American than New York City!

And the Statue of Liberty.

And the Golden Gate Bridge.

Happy Birthday America!
