This year, we're going down to Lac Pelletier Regional Park. We have to go to Swift Current today for groceries, and Lac Pelletier is only about 42 kms (26 miles) south of Swift Current. So we'll pop down there just to check it out and see how they do things.
People are slowly pulling their seasonal trailers out of the park. Every day, another one or two pull out. There are 80 seasonal sites here at Cabri Park, and I'd say there are only maybe 25 trailers left to go. Officially, the seasonal campers have until Monday September 19th to have their trailers and belongings removed from the park.
Then on Monday, we can finish closing things up.
We've already got two of the five bathrooms winterized, but then we can finish the other three. I can then turn the water supply off and get the pump stored, but we call in someone with a big commercial compressor to blow the lines out so they don't freeze. And I have to put up the beaver fence along the shoreline. That's a pretty big job so I'll try and do a little each day.
We went for a walk around dusk last night...
The sky was pink.
Almost a full moon.
11 days to go!

That was a great moon, I think it's full tonight! Counting down the days till you are back on the road, bet your feet are itching!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Karyn Lee! Not quite, the full moon will on September 16th.
DeleteYes, our feet are getting very itchy and so are Sherman's! ;-)
Seems like you guys were just arriving and opening the park. Time flies.
ReplyDeleteThe last month or so has been dragging a little but yes, it does seem to have flown by!
