Then tomorrow, I can turn the water off, store the pump, and winterize the remaining three of the five bathroom buildings. We've already got two of them done.
Lots of other work to do over the next few days as well. I've got to clean and store the machinery and change the oil in everything. Same for the little blue car. And install the beaver fence along the shoreline to protect the trees. That's a time consuming job, and I'll try and do a little bit each day. I remember last year I was still finishing it up at 7:30pm the night before we left!
And we'll move into the motorhome gradually over the next few days as well. We'll start sleeping in Sherman tomorrow night! We'll still be having meals and stuff in the house, until we turn that water supply off later in the week.
And hopefully, out of here next Saturday. The long term forecast doesn't look great though, with a big storm headed our way later in the week...
So we'll see. If we do get all of that rain, we'll likely hang out here for at least one more day. Fortunately, that's a long term forecast, and can easily change. Temps are sure cooling off though...highs between 60 and 65F, and lows in the high 30's F.
Can't wait to get back on the road again!

Need a new fall jacket? Today is the day...
Also, a good selection of e-books for sale on Kindle. Today's specialty is books that have been made into movies...
Available in Canada too!
Another good season at the park under your belt. It is starting to get cooler here on the Island as well although no frosts, we don't get those in the valley until November (mountain passes on Vancouver Island get it about now)
ReplyDeleteYep, it is hard to believe how fast the time seems to fly by. We are really hoping for some nice weather for our drive to Ottawa. The fall colours should be looking pretty good by the time we hit the road.
DeleteI hope it doesn't rain as that will really muck up your exit road.
ReplyDeleteIf it rains too much it is highly unlikely that we would even be able to make it up the hill. Hopefully it will work out but if not then we will just wait another day or two for the road to dry up, definitely don't want to risk getting stuck.
DeleteLooks like Sherman and you guys have itchy feet , hope all goes well and you outta there.
ReplyDeleteThanks George, we hope it all goes well too!
DeleteAnother season successfully completed. We are looking forward to your next adventures!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's another one under the belt. Won't be long now before our winter adventures begin! :-)
DeleteWe leave three weeks from tomorrow, but who's counting :) Our weather has been warm so far so the campers keep coming.
ReplyDeleteAnd, I bet those 3 weeks will feel like they are taking forever. I know with us the last few weeks have definitely been dragging even though we have been busy.
DeleteI've never been overly confident in any sort of "long term forecast". Too many variables. Might rain. Might not. Hope the week goes smoothly.
ReplyDeleteThe forecasts changes one day to the next, it's really just a "guesstimate"! ;-)
DeleteWe are busy shutting down our little piece of the park here too. Our departure date is September 29 which will sneak up fast.
ReplyDeleteWe try to take some time each day to admire the changing colors here. Everything is taking on a spectacular fall color. Hope the leaves hold on for you to see.
Hoping the rain won't hold us up and we will get to see you before you leave on the 29th. We are hoping that the fall colours will be out in full force as we head east.
DeleteHe was out the door once the blog was posted! :-)
