Just grandpa and the grandkids

We dropped off our rental car yesterday, a day earlier than scheduled. When we booked it, we had forgotten that Ruth and our daughter Lindsey were going to be away for the day today. So it was more convenient to bring it back yesterday. We didn't really have any pressing use for another car until Friday anyhow.

So this morning, Ruth and Lindsey took off for the drive up to a day spa in Quebec about two and a half hours from here. They'll enjoy a massage and hot pools and then dinner later this afternoon. Just a mom and daughter day away!

So I'm in full grandpa mode today. It's just me and granddaughter Sadie (3) this morning, and then we'll walk over to the school to pick up Cameron (5) around 2:30 this afternoon.

Then, when son in law Justin gets home from work later in the day, we'll order a pizza. Apparently there's a good take out place here in Osgoode, and they do a gluten free crust too.

Speaking of car rentals, I organized a 4 day rental for when we're in Brasov, Romania. Lots to see in that area, so we figured we'd see the most if we had our own transportation. I booked with a small Romanian agency that I found online. They have older cars, and we don't need anything fancy. Including taxes and insurance, it came to 432 RON ($140 CAD, $105 USD). Not cheap, but the cheapest I could find. And, I had to pay in advance, so hopefully it all comes together!
