Yesterday, we had my family visit for Sunday brunch at our daughter Lindsey's house. Grandson Cameron came with me to pick up our son Alex who had taken the bus out to this end of the city.
And then Alex, Cameron, and I stopped in to say hi to a long time friend of mine who lived near where we were picking up Alex. This is one of the guys I'll be seeing next weekend for my annual guy's weekend away.
Then, it was back to Lindsey's where my two sisters and my Mom were waiting.
Lindsey made eggs benedict for everyone.
Our son Alex playing with his niece Sadie, and nephew Cameron.
Brunch is ready.
Eggs Benedict with bacon wrapped asparagus and pumpkin muffins and fresh squeezed orange juice!
Our daughter Lindsey, my sisters Elaine and Alison, and my Mom!
We went over to the park for a while with the kids. A nice afternoon, but you can tell that fall is in the air.
And how about those Blue Jays!? I watched the game last night. First time I've watched a full baseball game from start to finish in a long time. Looking forward to seeing the Jays in the ALCS starting this coming Friday.
And this morning? We woke up to the first frost of the year...

The Hoover PowerScrub carper cleaner is on deal of the day at Amazon today. Need your carpets cleaned? Do it yourself for less...
And in Canada, a great deal on the new highly rated Black and Decker lithium hand vac...
Glad you were able to watch the game. There were some great plays on both sides!
ReplyDeleteKevin was so happy to be able to watch the game and yes, it was a good one!
DeleteBrunch looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteIt was delicious! :-)
DeleteNow that is some ambitious egg poaching! Looks delicious. Happy Thanksgiving from us to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteShe blanched all the poached eggs the day before so it made the cooking time shorter the day of the brunch. It was delicious, she did a fantastic job on them.
DeleteHope you both had a great Thanksgiving as well.
Happy Thanksgiving! We did our turkey day yesterday...today my favorite kind of leftovers.
ReplyDeleteToday I am going to cook a turkey and after that we will have lots of leftovers as well. So many things to make with leftovers! :-)
DeleteGlad you had a good Thanksgiving too.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and all of your fellow Canadians :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much Ellen! It was wonderful to be able to celebrate it with family.
DeleteLove the poached eggs brunch - yum!!!
ReplyDeleteSo did we! :-)
DeleteLooks like a wonderful time with family. Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteTwo great meals in two days with family each time, it can't get much better!
DeleteI knew there would be some good grub! One of my favorite breakfasts.
ReplyDeleteLots of great food both for brunch and for dinner the next day with my family. :-)
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving! It's wonderful that you get to spend time with all of your loved ones.
ReplyDeleteWe are certainly enjoying our family time. And, it is a longer visit this time so we don't feel rushed. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving, thank you!
DeleteBudapest looks like a lovely city!
ReplyDeleteWe loved our time in Budapest but 5 days still wasn't enough. One day we will make our way back there and see more of the city and of the country.
DeleteOh yum! I am envious. Haven't had Eggs Benedict for years, and then only at a restaurant. Your daughter has mad cooking skills!
ReplyDeleteShe is a trained chef so anything thing she makes is delicious. I am not sure I would want to have eggs benedict anywhere else now, they wouldn't be nearly as good.
DeleteHappy Thanksgiving, the eggs Benedict looks wonderful. It is getting cool and our first frost here as well.
ReplyDeleteNice family visit too.
Thanks George, looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with family as well.
