The trees are in their prime fall colors...

Ruth went for a short walk with her dad yesterday morning, and then later on in the morning she and I went for a fast paced walk around "the rabbit path". No idea why it's called that, because it's simply a walk around the block on the country roads out here.

But, we did 5.2 kms (3.1 miles) in 52 minutes. Not bad to get the blood pumping!

Need to keep in shape for all the walking and hiking we plan to do in Romania.

Here's some pictures from our day...

Ruth's dad Tony, with his dog Taffy.

The old railway bridge over the (Canadian) Mississippi River.

On one side of the road, a Christmas tree farm.

And on the opposite side a cornfield.

The trees are in the prime of their fall colors.

Our daughter Lindsey is coming to pick us up later this morning, and we'll head back to her place. Ruth is going out for dinner this evening with a group of girls she used to work with 30 years ago. I think Lindsey is going with her just for a night out. Should be fun for them!

    1. There are still some places are the area where the trees still aren't at their peak so we should see some more fall colours in the next week or so.

We girls had a great night out! :-)
