5 Reasons To Bring A Motorcycle Along For Your Next RV Trip

When it comes to taking a vacation, there is nothing that is quite as exhilarating as a road trip. If you want to make your journey much more comfortable (and cheaper), you might decide to get an RV and see the countryside without having to worry about expensive hotel rooms or rates.

While going on an RV trip is rewarding in its own right, one of the best ways that you can maximize your adventure is to bring a motorcycle (or two) along for the ride. Here are five reasons why bringing your motorcycles on your RV trip can transform a great time into an unforgettable one.

1.Versatile: Assuming that you have the best Honda dirt bike parts on your motorcycle, odds are that you can take it almost anywhere. That means that you aren’t limited in your travels, as RVs and campers can only go so many places, especially when it comes to parking overnight.

2. Easier to Use: While RVs are great for long distance trips, they aren’t exactly known for their agility or mobility. Thus, if you want to go into certain areas, it may be too cumbersome to drive in with a full-size RV. Instead, having a motorcycle means that you can go into towns and cities without any problems.

3. Explore More of Your Surroundings: As long as you have the right motorcycle equipment, such as an Alpinestar jacket and speed and strength gloves, then you should be able to explore your area without any hassle or problems. Keep your RV stationed somewhere and then use your bike to venture out.

4. Cheaper than a Car: As you can see, having a motorcycle means that you can experience more of the places you visit, but you may be thinking that you can do the same thing with a car. Unfortunately, having a car is much pricier, as maintenance and fuel costs are higher than with a bike. Save money and bring your hog.

5. Easier to Bring Along: Finally, the best reason to bring your motorcycle is that you can hook it up to your RV without having to drive it alongside. With a car, someone has to follow behind you. With a bike, you don’t have to worry about staying in touch with each other.

  1. Couldn't agree more, but consider a scooter also. I carry a 200cc scooter on a rack behind my RV. Since it's compact and lightweight, and since a scooter carries its weight low and there's no clutch to manipulate, it's easy to load and unload single handed. 200cc is enough to keep up with traffic in town with two aboard.

    1. I should mention that with an automatic transmission, scooters are ridiculously easy to ride. And you can *always* find a convenient parking place.

    2. Many times we have thought about a scooter but the way our motorhome is made it would be too heavy on Sherman's back end and no where to attach one to the front end. :-(
