We didn't have anybody scheduled to arrive here at the park yesterday, but of course we do get the occasionally unexpected arrival. And, of course they usually arrive right as we're sitting down to supper!
So yesterday as Ruth was putting supper on the table, I just happened to notice through the kitchen window that a trailer was driving up. So I headed out the door to meet them at the office.
I turned the corner of the building and the driver had just gotten out of the car...
Huh? I had to do a double take... it was Ruth's brother and his girlfriend!
Too funny. We had no idea they were coming!
Colin had just retired in May, and we didn't know it but he and Brenda had bought a small 16 ft travel trailer. They took off from Ottawa area June 11th, and have already done Banff and Jasper and Calgary and that route, and are now headed back east, also of course making a stop in to see us for a few days!
Nice!
So we've got some surprise visitors for a few days.

ReplyDeleteIt will be fun but not until the weekend is over. We didn't have much time to chat yesterday other than a little while in the evening because we were just too busy. By Sunday afternoon things will have quietened down and we can spend more time together then.

DeleteOnce the weekend is over we will have a great visit with them. Our weekends are too busy at this time of year! One of the reasons we always try to tell friends and relatives to visit before the end of June or after the middle of August so that we have more time to enjoy their company.
Well, that should make for a fun few days...
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately they arrived at the start of the weekend so we haven't had much time or energy to enjoy their company much these last couple of days but now that Sunday is here we will have a bit more time to visit with them. They sure are enjoying the park though!
