So Nancy and Larry arrived with their big diesel pusher motorhome... certainly one of the bigger rigs we've ever seen here...
We had them over for dinner on Wednesday evening, and then they had us over for dinner Thursday evening...
Ruth, Kevin, and Larry. They did big rib steaks on the grill. Yummm!
Ruth, Nancy, and Larry.
They took off this morning, headed east towards Quebec City. Good for them for venturing into the province of Quebec... not many Americans do that! From there, they'll cross back into the U.S. and visit Maine before heading south. They have a place in Arizona where they spend the winter.
So that was lots of fun... we have another American visitor coming to see us in August!
We've almost finished off our little landscaping project by the main bathroom. Somehow, Ruth and I both miscalculated on the number of patio stones we needed. Not quite sure how that happened, but we were both standing there when we figured it out. Went to install them, and we were two short! Oh well...someone with a pickup truck will bring us two more.
And then we just have to install the outdoor shower... and it's done!
Here's some before (or during!) and after pics for you...
Later in the season we'll get some top soil and plant some grass seed.
Busy weekend ahead... only four empty sites...

And in Canada...
Southern Enterprises Celtic 3-Drawer Storage Shelf
The improvements look great. And it should cut down on muddy bathrooms.
ReplyDeleteThanks Peter! We need to get those two missing patio stones and the outdoor shower head set up first but hopefully it will work.
DeleteLooks great! We need to redo the driveway. The address is . . . well, you know it :)
ReplyDeleteNot sure you could afford us Chris! ;-)
DeleteGood job! Let us know if it works?
ReplyDeleteThank you! Once it is all complete and working we will let you know.
DeleteHad such a nice visit with you two!! The park @ Cabri is beautiful. It is obvious you put a lot of work in it. You were so hospitable!! Thank you for taking time off your busy schedule to visit with us & help us strategize the rest of our adventure across the beautiful Canadian Provinces! I hope I am successful with this... attempting to send those pictures we took of you.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nancy and Larry for those kind words and thank you very much for dropping by. We enjoyed your visit. Enjoy the rest of your adventure. :-)
DeleteNice project almost completed, sure does clean things up nicely.
ReplyDeleteYep, we think it really made things by this bathroom much better. Once the outdoor shower is working we hope that it will also help to keep the mud and sand out of the bathrooms, only time will tell.
DeleteGreat job on your project - looking good up there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Connie and Barry!
DeleteSuch hard work, but wow the results are totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was hard work especially for Kevin my part was a little easier. Love the results. :-)
DeleteYou did a beautiful job on your project! Just blame the two missing stones on a "senior moment". Works for me! ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Emily! And yes, that would definitely be a "senior" moment. ;-)
DeleteGreat job, minus two stones!
ReplyDeleteThank you Nickie and Jim, we think it turned out pretty good too. Still waiting on those two stone though.
DeleteWow! it looks great Ruth & Kevin
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandy!
