We're on our way!

Writing this from Toronto airport, waiting for our flight to Barbados. Not long to wait, either! It starts boarding in half an hour!

We got up at 3:00am this morning, and daughter Lindsey drove us to the airport. Only saw one other car on the road for the entire 20 minute drive.

Yesterday, fellow RVers and traveling friends Esther and Steve dropped by and took us out for lunch. Long time readers will remember that this is the couple who's son got married to a Korean girl and we went to the wedding back in October of 2014, and we haven't seen them since then.

Lindsey came along with us, and we went to the Swan on the Rideau pub where Lindsey works part time as bartender and waitress.

Esther, Kevin, Lindsey, Ruth, and Steve.
Thanks again for lunch!

Really good to see them again. A very short visit, but hopefully it won't be three full years until we see them again!

Gotta go... next update from Barbados, where apparently they are having a big rainstorm today (3-5 inches!?). Hope the plane can land!

  1. Have a great flight! Banks beer is what you will want, Kevin, when you get there (if you are still drinking beer?!). Do look into the horse races just north of where you are staying, it was one of the most fun things we did!

    1. Our flight was great and arrived right on time to some hot and humid weather but no rain! :-)

Kevin will check out Banks beer, thanks for the heads up. Also we will look into the horse races.

    1. I think we brought the sunshine with us! They had a ton of rain the day before and our host said that yesterday afternoon was the nicest it has been in over a week so with any luck we will have nice weather with a shower in the afternoon each day for about a 1/2 or so.
