We had been doing really well on leaf cleanup, until yesterday afternoon when the wind picked up and changed direction. A storm blew in and swirled everything around. Fortunately, the leaves had already been removed and dumped, but even when it's cleaned up more leaves seem to appear out of nowhere!
This happens every year though, so while it's frustrating, it's not surprising.
Jo is becoming a professional with the leaf blower!
Ruth has been doing this for 7 days straight now.
But she just keeps smiling. :-)
Here comes the storm!
Quite a few of the regulars know that we're only here for two weeks and some have been making a special effort to drop by and say hello which is really nice. Yesterday Sharon and Arnie came by and chatted for a while. They are seasonal campers here and they ran the concession the first year we were here.
And our friend Wendy from Moose Jaw stopped by with her class B. She's on her way up to see family in Edmonton and stopped in here to visit for a couple of nights. And, she will be coming to Mexico with us next winter!
Cooler today, and a bit breezy. Not so good for leaf cleanup. But, we got the water system up and running the other day and we've got two of the washrooms operational, so we can get the other three done today.

Week two will fly by. Your trek north will be amazing!
ReplyDeleteYes, it already seems to be disappearing too fast. We still have lots of work to get done before leaving.
DeleteSeven days is a bit of a long haul for doing leaves. Not so sure I'd still be smiling. But Ruth I'm sure has a better disposition than I.
ReplyDeleteI had a reprieve yesterday because it was too windy and it was raining at times, so it was a cleaning bathroom day instead. Not sure which is better?!
DeleteReally looking forward to your adventures this summer!
ReplyDeleteWe are really looking forward to our adventures this summer as well! :-)
DeleteGreat your both getting the work done and preparing for your trip north. One more week is nothing! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYep, one more week is nothing compared to 5 months. We will miss the park but are going to enjoy our travels to Yukon, Northwest Territories and Alaska way more! :-)
