They finally arrived!

So yesterday morning we were waiting for our daughter Lindsey, son in law Justin, and grandkids Cameron and Sadie to arrive. They had been stopped by a highway accident that closed the road and they ended up having to get a motel room for the night.

Then, they got on the road at 5:45am to do the final part of the drive here. They still had another two and a half hours or so two go when I got message from our daughter... the road was closed again due to another accident!

Ruth and I went for a walk around the resort in the morning while we were waiting for them.

Ruth, at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort.

The pool is busy at 10:30am.

The wedding venue is ready for someone to get hitched!

It would be a beautiful spot without the forest fire smoke.

We heard from Lindsey at 10:30am again, and the highway had just re-opened. They finally arrived here at the resort about 1:30pm!

Great to see them again.

Our granddaughter Sadie, the other little girl is Kenzie, my cousin Debbie's granddaughter.

Kenzie, Cameron, Sadie, and Carter.

Sadie.

Carter, Sadie, Cameron, and Kenzie.

In the hot pools!
Ruth, Anyla, Kenzie, Sadie, Lindsey.

We had a group dinner together, but I didn't take any photos! I did take a group photo of everyone who showed up though...

Group shot.

Too funny.

And so everyone has left already this morning. We have to get Sherman's other two tires installed in Cranbrook tomorrow, and that's only 108 kms (65 miles) or so south of here, so we will find a provincial park along the way. Lindsey, Justin, and the kids are with us for the next couple of nights so its more fun for them if we're in a park.

    1. It was a little disappointing that we didn't have more people show up for the reunion but as you said, ultimately we still all had a great time! :-)

  2. That is a huge pool!!! I'm shocked they have a high dive. I don't believe there are any public pools in the US with a high dive for liability reasons. I know they have been removed from high schools.

    1. It is a huge pool and the center pool had much warmer water, actually it was almost too hot!

Yes, they still have a high diving board and it was used a lot. We spent lots of time watching all the people diving/jumping from it and all the fancy tricks that they could do. Unfortunately for the amount of money you pay at the resort and to also get into the pool, the pool and structure itself needs some maintenance work. We were actually surprised at it's condition!
