We're all the same age, so the conversation tends to revolve around retirement, travel, and our aging parents. And reminiscing about some of the crazy antics we got up to when we were young. In fact, I did a slide show of pictures from a ski trip we all did way back in 1985. Too funny looking back on those days.
It's been a good weekend with the weather. A couple more degrees of warmth would have been nice, but at least it didn't rain. Managed to get out for a 5 km (3 mile) walk in 48 minutes. Some of the guys came with me, and a couple even kept up the pace! I showed them that book... Younger Next Year. Hopefully they will read it and take up a more active lifestyle, although 3 or 4 of us are already doing pretty good.
Unfortunately not warm enough to be sitting on the dock.
Good selection of single malt scotch.
Good selection of wine.
Making breakfast.
Steak and eggs!
A few of the boys.
Dinner!
Shish Kabobs on the grill.
So we ate, we drank, and we were merry. Always enjoy my weekend away with the boys.
Back to our daughter Lindsey's in time for lunch today where my mother and sisters will be joining us.

DeleteMay we recommend a very lovely, inexpensive red wine "Pendragon". It is sold for $8.99 at our local Thrifty Foods liquor stores. Can't beat it for the price!
ReplyDeleteWe will have to try to remember that next time we are buying wine in Canada. Right now though I don't think we will be purchasing anymore wine until we head into the USA at the end of the week.
DeleteAlways good to find the time to be with old friends.....happy for you!
ReplyDeleteHe loves getting to together with these guys. :-)
