Moving on today

Not under ideal circumstances though. Roy and Sue's health seems to be improving, but not enough for them to do a six hour drive.

We spoke to the doctor again yesterday morning, and he asked us to take Roy to get a chest x-ray.

So I took them in an Uber taxi to a nearby lab, but when we got there the lady said they don't do x-rays at that location anymore and she sent us to another place halfway into Puebla.

The place wasn't busy, and Roy was taken in right away. 450 pesos ($24 USD, $32 CAD) was the cost.

We hadn't asked in advance, but it turned out that it wouldn't be ready until after lunch today!

But, we have decided that because we booked a van for touring in Oaxaca for Friday and Sunday that the group had better move on... without Roy and Sue.

Then, I will take the bus back to Puebla, and drive them and their rig to Oaxaca... hopefully on Saturday. Not an ideal situation, but you do what you have to do under the circumstances.

Only took one photo yesterday!

Gotta get going... see you in Oaxaca!

Nice price drop on a bench vise for the workshop...

And in Canada...

  2. More prayers for Roy and Sue. I hope they realize how lucky they are to have signed up to tour with you and Ruth. Any other tour group would leave them and never look back.

    1. Thank you for the prayers to Roy and Susan, I am sure that they appreciate all of you that are wishing them a speedy recovery. We are doing our best to make sure they are well looked after and can't wait to have them join up with the group again. Roy was improving yesterday morning, so by the time Kevin gets back to them tomorrow, he will be feeling more like his old self. It will be nice for him to have a driving day where he can relax and let Kevin do the driving, it is definitely a bit of a tiring drive.

    1. We are hoping that we nipped it in the butt before it got to that point. Roy has had pneumonia before and that is what we were afraid that he might have, although when the doctor first checked him, his lungs sounded fine. However the doctor got him on antibiotics right away, by the second visit there was a little noise on the lungs but now that he has been taking the antibiotics his is starting to improve, it just took a little longer than expected. Hopefully by Saturday he will be feeling more like his old self.
