Forgot the camera!

There was a little bit of blue sky and sunshine yesterday morning, so we figured we had better get out and take advantage of it because it was not supposed to last into the afternoon.

We figured we would walk down to the washed out section of road to see if the water had gone down enough to make our way across it.

Seemed kind of odd not to have the camera with me... I had forgotten it at our daughter's house! But that's okay... the phone takes a decent picture when we have to.

Well, we made it over this part!

But that's as far as we're going.

The water on the (Canadian) Mississippi River has gone down about two feet from where it was, but it's still too high for them to be able to fix the road.

Meanwhile, the Ottawa River is surpassing the highs that flooded in the spring of 2017. It's supposed to peak on Wednesday. Maybe we'll take a drive down to Morris Island today and see how it's doing.

But, spring is in the air.

Looking forward to having some visitors today... one of the couples that was on our Mexico trip are coming to say hello! Bob and Denise with their dog Scarlett should be here after lunch! Fun!

    1. Yep, we are sure that they have but unfortunately people along the Ottawa River are really having a bad time of it.
