And our new friends Ian and Kaye decided the same thing!
So in the morning we completed the deal to sell Bundy and Joyce to their friend Garry, and we will continue to have the use of the rig until the week before we fly out of Australia at Sydney next month.
We had some lunch, and then I had a nap! With the wind blowing so hard, it wasn't the most restful sleep, but I did manage to doze off for a bit. Then, Ruth and I went for a walk around town. Even though the air temperature was about 14C (58F), it felt much colder with the wind.
It looks like a beautiful day.
But it really wasn't.
The cold wind was blowing from 50 to 70 km/h, and gusting to 90 km/h. Not enjoyable. They even issued a wind warning, saying there would be vigorous damaging winds. Glad we stayed put for the day, and it's supposed to be much nicer on Wednesday.
The Bredbo Inn Pub.
We are free camped in behind the historic Bredbo Inn Pub. They have been serving hungry and thirsty travelers here since 1836!
But while we did go for dinner at the pub on Monday night, we decided tonight we would do a shared meal with Ian and Kaye...
Kevin, Ian, and Kaye in their motorhome.
Lots of laughs with this friendly Aussie couple and we're sure to meet up again in the future.
So, not an exciting day, but we are glad that we stayed put to wait out the weather. Thursday, we are going into the capital city of Canberra, and then heading to the warmth of the coast!

And in Canada...
Wow, that cover picture looks just like New Mexico.
ReplyDeleteYep, that view could easily have been taken in a number of places both in Canada and the US.
