We were on 21 different airplanes and we were in 7 different countries... bringing our total countries visited to 38.
We began 2019 in Mexico leading an RV Caravan group. We were with them for the months of January, February, and March.
And how did we start off 2019? With another flight!
On January 1st we went Paragliding in Valle de Bravo.
What a thrill!
We spent some time in early January in Mexico City.
And we enjoyed a day at the ruins of Teotihuacan.
Another highlight of January was our visit to the
petrified waterfalls at Hierve el Agua near Oaxaca, Mexico.
We ended January at the beach in Puerto Escondido.
Early February was spent at the Mexican Pacific beaches of Puerto Escondido, Playa Ventura, Acapulco, La Barrita, And Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo.
Zihuatanejo.
Mid February, we headed inland to Cascada de la Tzaráracua near Uruapan.
And the church buried in lava from the Paricutin Volcano.
February continued with favorite stops at Patzcuaro and Valle de Juarez.
March was water park month and we enjoyed stops at Villa Corona and Las Fuentes.
Busy Sunday at Villa Corona.
Cooling off at Las Fuentes.
We ended March with a visit to Mexico's spectacular Garcia Caverns.
April was our first flight of 2019 as we headed back to Ottawa, Canada to visit family...
With our kids and grandkids and Ruth's dad.
Having a drink at the pub where our daughter works.
May was a busy month with flights as we made our way to Calgary, then Los Angeles, then Singapore, then Indonesia, then finally Australia!

In Bali, Indonesia, we put our feet up for a while.
And at the end of May, we picked up our home for the next two months in Australia.
June, July, and half of August were spent touring the south eastern part of Australia. There are simply too many good photos of that period to pick out any highlights, although some of our favorite spots included the northern part of the Great Ocean Road. We also enjoyed the colorful bird life and the beautiful city of Sydney.
Ruth, and the spectacular scenery at the northern part of Australia's Great Ocean Road.
Colorful bird life!
The city of Sydney.
We flew back to Ottawa, Canada at the end of August in time to take our grandkids with us for a long weekend at Red Pine Camp. September was in and around Ottawa visiting with family and friends and spending lots of time with Ruth's aging father.
In October, a planned trip to Ecuador was cancelled due to a temporary political problem there, and instead we ended up in Peru. Without any planning at all, we found ourselves in the small city of Huraz and the beautiful mountainous national park near the town. We did a lot of hiking, at altitudes as high as 16,400 feet!

In November, we flew to pick up our motorhome in Texas, and met up with the current caravan group that we are traveling with for this season.
It was a fantastic year!
Our flights for 2019.
So, what's in store for 2020?
Well, we will be with this caravan group touring Mexico until the end of March 2020. Then, we will likely drive our motorhome up to Saskatchewan where we are going to be working for the months of May, June, and July.
We are looking forward to returning to Cabri Regional Park for those 3 months in a more relaxed position of employment. Then, we will probably make our way back to Ontario for the months of August and September.
October? We have visions of polar bears! We've always wanted to go see the polar bears in Churchill, Manitoba, and this coming October might see that plan coming together.
And next winter? Who knows... we have a lot of options on the table, including one last major tour of Mexico. We likely won't make a decision on that front until June or so.
Lots of exciting stuff coming up in 2020!
Happy New Year to you all!
