By 8:30am, they were ready to go across the road to look for more bugs and things. I was still doing some computer work, so Ruth took them over there.
Only problem is that the sun hadn't come around to that area yet, and Cameron says that the snakes don't come out until there is some some sunshine.
Grandpa and Sadie doing some computer work.
Looking for critters.
Cameron.
He found another crayfish.
Sadie is such a character.
Serious thoughts.
Trying to catch a frog.
Got him!
This duck was really far away.
Then we took them for a hike at the conservation area.
Funny mushrooms. They look like bagels... or donuts!
Cameron always carries the bucket.
You never know what interesting thing you might find!
More interesting mushrooms.
The Ottawa River.
Sadie looking in the binoculars.
And Cameron looking in his bucket.
He found some millipedes.
Strange creatures.
The Ottawa River.
Sadie.
Turtles.
Snake.
Looking for more snakes.
We went back to the house and then took them to the beach in Arnprior. Along the way, I stopped in to the auto parts store where I picked up the air filter that I had ordered for the wood splitter. It was a special order, which was not surprising given that it was for a 1977 Toyota Corolla engine. I was almost surprised that they could still get me one!
Arnprior beach... not very busy.
Sadie.
Cameron.
Today, we take them back to their mom and dad's. But we will stop along the way to see some more interesting things! Then we will pop in to say hi to Ruth's dad.
Have a great Tuesday!
