There are lots of back roads that we can ride on in this area... mostly gravel country roads, although some of them are paved.
We went down one gravel road and turned onto a path that led to this...
Despite all of this, maybe we are welcome anyhow?
But we didn't go further, despite the "Welcome" sign in the background!
The (Canadian) Mississippi River.
This is a paved road, but there is hardly any traffic on it.
Looking the other way.

Onto the gravel road.
We ended up doing 19 kms (12 miles). Good ride.
After lunch, Cameron and Sadie showed up. Of course the first thing they want to do is to go across the road to the hydro dam and look for various snakes and bugs!
The small Galetta Hydro Electric Facility has been producing electricity since 1907!
Heading down to the water.
Looking for something to put in the bucket.
Cameron and Ruth looking at a crayfish that Cameron came across.
Sadie.
Sadie caught this frog.
And Cameron caught this snake!
Lots of fun with the kids. In the evening, we watched the Goosebumps movie with them.

Nice price drop on the popular Coleman Backhome Screen House.
And in Canada...
Such great time with the kids! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteIt sure is. They both just love the outdoors, especially Cameron. He just loves snakes and bugs. :-)
DeleteI am impressed with the animal capturers, not that easy
ReplyDeleteCameron is really quick and Sadie isn't too far behind. Not sure that she would want to catch a snake quite as much as Cameron.
DeleteThey are getting so big!! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteYep, they are getting big! We look forward to having them come and visit us in the motorhome some day. One at a time though. It sure will be fun showing them how we travel and have them experience some of our adventures.
DeleteLove the photos, they are growing up so fast!❤️
ReplyDeleteThanks Connie and Barry! Yes, they are growing up fast, so we love to have this time with them. :-)
DeleteAlways fun spending time with the Grandchildren/
ReplyDeleteBe Safe and Enjoy!
It's about time.
It is fun spending time with both Cameron and Sadie, Cameron is always teaching us something new about snakes or bugs and Sadie always has us laughing. :-)
