It's Friday again? Already??

I had thought that maybe the next month would go by slowly because the stuff we are doing here at the house is starting to feel like work. But, I honestly can't believe that it's Friday again already!

And next Friday, it is my annual guys weekend away and I am really looking forward to seeing my friends.

But, we are doing things a little differently this year. Three of the guys aren't coming at all. One of them is based in Calgary and he's just not ready to fly yet. And another has a daughter getting married the same weekend. I guess she didn't check with her father to make sure he didn't already have plans! And another we don't know the reason.

So, because there will only be 6 of us this year, we are not renting a big fancy place this year, instead we are heading up to a small cottage on a lake in Quebec that one of them owns. Two of them are bringing tents and will sleep outside, leaving lots of room for the other four inside the cottage. Hopefully the weather will be decent in order to spend most of our time outside, but if not we will wear masks while inside and try to stay well away from each other.

It was beautiful sunny day yesterday, but getting a little chilly if you weren't in the sun. You can definitely tell that summer is over and we have moved into fall, which officially begins next week.

Highs right now are only about 13C (55F), and the low last night was 2C (35F). A little below normal to be sure, but certainly not unheard of for this time of year.

We are off to do grocery shopping before the stores get busy!
