We are still trying to figure out the best way to install a power inverter so that we can have standard electricity (230VAC here in Europe) inside the house part of the motorhome, running off the batteries. Until we sort it out, I was looking for an inexpensive basic unit that would plug into the 12VDC power socket with just enough power to keep our laptops charged up.
Not far from where we were walking was an auto parts supply store, but they didn't have what we wanted in stock. They could have ordered it, but they wanted too much money. Across the road was a big Home Depot" type of store, and we checked there as well, but no luck. We did end up buying a fridge thermometer though.
Scenery from our morning walk.
Then we took a drive over to see the wild horses.
Dulmen is well known for a herd of about 300 feral horses that live in a protected area a few miles outside of town. Unfortunately we got there and the gate was closed. Apparently you can only access the area on weekends and holidays.
So we headed back to the downtown RV parking area. Here, they have coin operated electricity and for €2 ($3.00 CAD, $2.40 USD) you get 8 hours of electricity. Because we don't yet have an inverter, this was our back up plan for now.
So we went to a couple of electronics shops downtown, but they didn't have what we were looking for.
We have our service appointment this (Friday) afternoon, and the service technician will know the answers to my questions. We plan on going to a huge camping gear store in Netherlands on Saturday, so that will fix us up one way or the other.
Big wild horse mural in downtown.
Max parked on the left.
It's light until after 10pm here just now, so after supper we went for a walk in a nearby wild park. It's a big fenced area, and there are a lot of deer living there.
Wild deer.
Whoa... that's a grand daddy!
Unfortunately I didn't have the good camera with us.
What a big set of antlers!
Slept fine... this afternoon we have our service appointment at the main dealer location. We haven't been there yet, so that should be interesting.
(You might notice the header photo is a bit messed up. The host changed the update format, and they've got some errors to fix! Until they do, this is as good as it gets.)

ReplyDeleteHe was definitely a beauty, Barry would have loved to have seen him. I just wish that we had our good camera with us when we saw him. Hopefully we will see more along the way.
