Did all the maintenance chores like filling the fresh water tank, and emptying the holding tanks and then did the five minute drive to our next location! Gotta love short driving days!

We went and told the girl at the reception desk and it was a different girl from the one the day before, but she also said we were welcome to park, no problem.
And then we walked the 3.5 kms to the city center. We had arranged to meet at the Go Rent Albania location at 1:00pm, but we didn't have any local cash yet so stopped at an ATM along the way.
Good to see both Zeni and Lindi again. These guys looked after us really well with our rental car when we were in Albania in the spring, and we became friends along the way. They chose a good local restaurant for us and we had an Albanian feast for lunch!

Delicious. And we were stuffed.
With two glasses of wine, and two large and one small beer, the total came to 3,670 lek ($43 CAD, $35 USD, €30) for the four of us.
Have I mentioned that we love Albania? Good food, reasonable prices, and friendly people. What a great combination.
They gave us a drive back to Max, and we gave them a tour. Zeni had never been in a motorhome before, and I could tell from the way he was looking around he was thinking this would be a great way to travel!
Said goodbye, but we'll get in touch again next time we're through this area.
Our parking lot was pretty quiet up until dinner time and we were surprised how busy it was for a Tuesday night. A few cars came and went up until 11:00pm or so and then it was a totally quiet night.
We are off to do some more exploring of the area!

Wow, that food looked amazing! And so reasonably priced for such a feast.

ReplyDeleteWe definitely agree that it should be. When you go, let us know and we will give you some pointers on places to visit there and try to go in the spring/early summer so that you can get up into the Albanian Alp in Theth, it really is beautiful up there with lots of hiking or biking.
