We're still waiting here in Antalya for the hiking boots that I ordered to show up. We didn't really want to drive anywhere, and there were a lot of puddles on the nearby bike trail. We ended up contacting Bob and Vera, the Australian couple who we had met the other day.
They have an Airbnb rental apartment about 3 kms away so we walked over there just to have a tea and visit with them for a couple of hours. They're a really interesting couple with lots of travel stories. They give us lots of inspiration because she is late 70's and Bob is 83 and they are still traveling full time, although they tend to stay in one place for a little longer nowadays.
"Maybe we'll give it up in 20 years or so" as Bob says. But he's been telling people that since the 1980's. Too funny!

So we had a nice visit and headed back to Max.
It turned into a really nice day!

No, we don't normally walk on the bike path... but there wasn't anybody out biking.
This lady was sitting enjoying the view, and a cat was sitting enjoying the sun.
There are cats everywhere!
Today, we are going back over to Bob and Vera's to use their washing machine, and then while the clothes are drying, the four of us are meeting two other full time traveling couples for lunch. Should be fun!
A little disappointed that I haven't heard back from the boot guy yet. I even sent him an email and got no response. Unimpressed. If they don't show up today, we are gone. At least I haven't given them any money.

You have had problems before with items not being delivered on time.
ReplyDeleteYes, that was with our water filter and was a totally different problem as it was coming from a different country and had to go through customs. This time is was coming from Istanbul, within the country itself.

ReplyDeleteYou are welcome but it should be us thanking you for the use of the shower and the washing machine. We really appreciated it. It was a beautiful day and the laundry dried fast while we are all out for tea with the others. It was a wonderful day with good company. :-)
