Max's one year anniversary, and a beautiful bike ride

First off, we celebrated our one year anniversary with Max. Yes, it was one year ago yesterday that we introduced you to our new European motorhome. Hard to believe it's been a year already isn't it? And even harder to believe is the fact that Max has already been to 17 different countries!

Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkiye, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, Czechia, Denmark, and Norway.

It was spitting with rain for most of the morning, but the weather guessers had been calling for clearing in the afternoon. Then they changed their tune, and said it was going to spit on and off in the afternoon as well.

But we decided to go for it with a bike ride, and are we ever glad we did...

We didn't set out to circle the lake. First of all, we didn't know what the weather was going to do, and either did the "experts" apparently. It turned out that their original forecast was more accurate and it turned out to be a nice afternoon. 

It was around this point where I checked the map and saw a farming road going around the other side. We decided to do the whole circular route of 24 kms (15 miles).

We had already cycled that side.

We stopped at a canyon viewpoint.

And by the time we got back to Voss, it had turned into a beautiful day!

And today, we woke up to a clear blue sky... not a cloud in sight, which is something we haven't seen since we arrived in Norway. It's only supposed to last one day, with the rain returning tomorrow, but we'll take it!
