Another beautiful drive through the Canadian Rocky Mountains

The boys were all up early, and we had decided to go out for breakfast before we left Jasper. We went back to the same restaurant we had dinner at on Saturday night. Dinner had been overall good, and the reviews said that breakfast was good as well.

Unfortunately, the breakfast was not the same experience. Very average, and our waitress wasn't very good. And at $21.50 CAD ($16.70 USD) for a very average coffee, bacon, eggs, home fries, and toast, it was definitely overpriced. 

Oh well. We had a great weekend anyhow, but it was time for the drive back to Calgary.

We were so lucky with the weather. In fact the forecast for Jasper for the rest of this week is 31C (88F) during the day which would have been pretty hot for doing hiking. What a great weekend. There is even talk of doing a future get together in Europe.

Anyway, my time away from Ruth was great but it was also great to be back together again! Today, we return the car rental and head to the airport for our marathon to Halifax, Nova Scotia. We fly Calgary to Ottawa this evening but we don't get in until midnight. Then we stay in the airport overnight because we take off again at 6:45am to Toronto, and then connect in Toronto to Halifax, arriving around 1:00pm. Then rent another car and about an hour drive to our daughter's new house.
