Absolutely spectacular scenery, and of course I love the mountains to begin with. Only one problem... I was doing the driving, so I wasn't taking pictures along the way, so don't have too many to share.
But I do have a few...
We stopped at Peyto Lake.
It's only a 0.6 km hike to the viewpoint, so of course it was pretty busy.
Waterfall in the distance.
Looking down on the road we came in on.
Athabasca Glacier.
Athabasca Glacier.
View from our front porch.
We're staying at a place called Patricia Lake Bungalows. We've got 3 cabins between 8 guys. It's pretty nice, although some of the cabins are a little dated. But I guess it kind of adds to the rustic feel of the place.
Yes, we did have a few adult beverages in the evening!
Off to do some hiking today.

And in Canada...
What stunning scenery! Have a blast with the guys!
ReplyDeleteThe drive between Banff and Jasper is stunning!
DeleteI have no doubt that Kevin is going to have an amazing time with the guys this weekend, he always does. :-)
That sure is a beautiful drive. I've done it numerous times starting in the 1950's and recently in May of 2016 and had snow!
ReplyDeleteYes, it is a definitely a gorgeous drive. We have also done this drive a number of times. I am not sure about Kevin but the first time that I did the drive was was back in 1976 with my family and then the last time that Kevin and I did the drive was back in 2018. Yep, I believe you when you say that you had snow in May, it doesn't surprise us at all. We had snow when we did the drive at the end of August back in 2006.
