But we better enjoy it while we've got it because it certainly won't be that warm when we get back to Max on November 5th! The long term forecast for that area in Germany is calling for highs around 10C (50F) and lows around 4C (39F).
Which is about what we expected. So we're going to quickly make our way to Belgium and Luxembourg, and after that I expect our travel through France to Andorra will be fairly quick as well due to us wanting to be in warmer weather on the south coast of Spain.
But, we've still got just over a week here. So we make sure to get out every day to enjoy it.
Yesterday, we drove through the city to get to Gërmia Park, a popular outdoor recreation area just outside of Pristina.
Once there, we parked the car just outside the gate and walked in.

The leaves are just about done.
Winter is just around the corner.
Ruth packed a picnic lunch for us, and we sat in the forest and had something to eat. Just a gorgeous day.

And then we drove back through the city.
Driving in Pristina is an adventure. It's every man for himself. I guess I've driven in so many different countries and vehicles that it doesn't fizz me much any more.
Turn signals? No, that's optional. Besides, why would you want to give information to the enemy?
Right of way? Well of course that goes to whoever makes the first move.
Pedestrian crossing? Everywhere, and at any time.
Parking? That's on the sidewalk. When there is no more sidewalk, you just double park. 4 Way flashers also optional.
And traffic circles? Let's just say that you had better have eyes in the back of your head.
There's one very busy intersection that has zero traffic lights or signs, and yet everything seems to move along. Somehow, they make it all work.

DeleteLooks like NYC and LA driving. I remember frantically waving my hand to get into a packed lane driving the freeways while I was in college in southern California. NYC? They ignore you and you have to make the bold move and hope they have brakes lol
