Got an email back yesterday confirming our vehicle insurance for Morocco. We're under a new insurer this year and when I had read the paperwork I had noticed that insurance was only valid in Morocco "with prior approval of the insurance company".
In Europe, you're generally covered for all of the typical European countries. But depending on the insurer there can be exclusions. In our case, we need to get prior approval for Tunisia, Serbia, Montenegro, Moldova, Bosnia,... and Morocco.
It turned out to be very easy to get that approval (although I don't know what they base it on). So, now we have a new insurance certificate that covers us in Morocco from January 7 to April 13. We don't plan on arriving in Morocco until January 9th, and we plan to return to Spain around the 9th of April. But we've now got a few days grace both before and after.

Another nice day yesterday. We set out to hike up to the castle. I saw two different routes up there, so we chose the first one that led up through the town. But we got up to the gate and it was locked shut. I thought maybe the other entrance was the main one, so we went back down the hill and around to the other side and started climbing up that way.

I admit that I didn't check the opening hours, but that's because we really didn't care. If it was closed, we needed the exercise anyhow, and we would just go up and enjoy the views. Which we did. Turns out that it's only open Wednesday through Friday, and Sunday at this time of year. Oh well. There will be more castles.

Speaking of the sports fields, I had mentioned yesterday that things were a bit disorganized regarding how to pay for our parking spot. They said you could pay at the tourist office, or at the sports fields office, but the door had always been locked. Turns out I was at the wrong door, however there is nothing to point you to the correct door, and it's located a five minute walk away!
So I went and paid our €3, which includes electricity. The guy told me that the "concierge" would be over in about two hours to turn it on.
We went and did some grocery shopping.
It's always interesting doing grocery shopping in different countries.

Back from grocery shopping, and still no electric. Not that we needed it, but if we paid for it, I wanted to at least save the cost of using our propane for a night. I waited three hours, and walked back over to the office. The guy looked like he had forgot about me. No worries, he said he would send her right over.
The lady showed up, and couldn't get the outlet to work. We ended up changing outlets, and were finally plugged in.
We are headed up into the mountains today to do some hiking.

I enjoy cooking shows and if there's one thing Spain is known for, it's the ham. Amazon has a whole bone-in one for $1400US!
