We didn't get going until 11:00am, but it was only an hour and a half drive to our next destination.
We decided to take the slower coastal route. It looked much more scenic, and there was very little traffic.
Another beautiful blue sky day.
We had a nice view of the sea almost the whole way.
Surprised the road was so quiet.
Lighthouse on the point at El Beddouza.
Yesterday's drive.
We arrived at Camping Safi. It's just a huge field. Not the nicest of campgrounds. But, it's convenient to walk into the small city of Safi which looks like it might be an interesting place to wander around. Also, it only costs 42 dirham ($5.50 CAD, $4.10 USD) with electricity included. Very cheap. And, it's a busy spot. There are probably 25 or 30 rigs here. There is 24 hour security supplied by two local police officers. We think it's a municipal campground run by the city.
We relaxed for the afternoon, and it was nice enough to set up our table and chairs outside for happy hour and a few games of backgammon.
There are a few friendly kittens around.
We published out January expenses yesterday evening if you happened to miss that post you can read it here... https://www.travelwithkevinandruth.com/2023/02/january-expenses.html
Looks like yet another beautiful sunny day. We are off to explore the city of Safi.
