We had planned on going into Essaouira, but decided to put it off until today. There aren't a lot of campgrounds between here and Agadir that get half decent reviews, so we'll go straight from here to Agadir Airport on Thursday.
If you missed that news, we bought some cheap flight tickets to go from Agadir to Tenerife on the Canary Islands. Our friends Bob and Denise are there doing some hiking, and the flights were super cheap so we couldn't turn down the opportunity to join them for a couple of days.
There are some pretty peacocks here at the campground.
Our flight leaves early Friday morning, so we'll spend Thursday night at the Agadir Airport parking lot, and Max can sit there and wait for us until we get back Monday night.
When we arrive at the Tenerife South Airport, we'll take a bus from there to the Santa Cruz ferry port where we'll meet Bob and Denise who are arriving from one of the other islands.
It's busy season on the Canary Islands though, and it wasn't that easy to get accommodation. Not a lot of choice. We're spending the first two nights at a shared apartment in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, but it's only about 5 kms (3 miles) from Bob and Denise's hotel, so the location is good enough. Bob and Denise have a car rental so it'll be easy.

Perfect.
So we're there for two nights, then on the third night we move down to the southern part of the island at Vilaflor. There, we managed to get a hotel room only 1 km from Bob and Denise's hotel.
So, it's all going to come together. We're excited about our upcoming weekend away on the island!
