We figured we might as well have some fun!

The weather is great, highs of about 23C (73F) but it was quite windy. We can see wind power generators in the distance, so perhaps it's windy in general in this area.

Later in the morning we went for a walk around the town of Benalup-Casas Viejas, and to a nearby lookout.

The town has a population of about 7,000. Just a nice size for wandering around and seeing everything there is to see.

In the Plaza del Pijo.

Just wandering around town.

The town church.

Pretty flowers.

Crotcheted things around the trees!

Just a nice house.

Community exercise equipment.

This backyard is full of spring wildflowers!

We walked about 2 kms out of town to this viewpoint.

There are a lot of griffon vultures flying about.

A nice park!

With another nice view.

Ruth holding onto her hat!

They had a nice playground there. We figured we might as well have some fun!

And of course Ruth had a turn at it as well...

Nice little town. Nothing special, just seems like a nice place to live.

It's been a nice relaxing two night stay, but we are moving on today. First, to find a hike to a cave, then to the town of Arcos de la Frontera.

  1. What a cute town! Love the pretty house and the crocheted tree socks! I used to have that exact plant (as a houseplant because it's tropical) but can't recall what it is called. Maybe someone else can fill us in. Looks like a fun day -- I enjoy playing in playgrounds too!

    1. It is a cute little town which we quite liked, nothing real special about it but it looks like a nice place to live. Lol, we don't really get the crocheted tree socks/wraps though but it must be a "thing" in Europe as we have seen these in many towns/cities in our travels over here.

That pretty flower is a Natal lily, or it is also called a bush lily..

There is just some kind of pull when we see a swing or zipline that we just have to give it a go,!
