We haven't got very far!

Not that we're in a rush. But since we arrived back in Spain it kinda feels like we haven't got very far. I've included a map for you below. We don't need to be at the northern coast for our ferry until May 7th, so we've got another month or so yet.

And it was just a short drive yesterday as we made our way to the town of Pozoblanco.

We took a narrow curvy backroad, but at least it was recently paved and in good condition.

Hills full of olive trees.

This guy has a nice view.

Not sure how they can hire enough people to harvest the olives!

Nice road, and not much traffic.

Notice the beautiful blue sky... again!

Our route north so far.
You can use the buttons on the lower right to zoom in or out.

Arrived in the town of Pozoblanco (pop 18,000) where they have a fairly new motorhome aire.

Pozoblanco isn't a tourist town, and there are no real attractions. It's just an average Spanish town. But Max needed to empty his tanks and fill his fresh water. Also, I found a good laundromat here with easy access, and there is a Mercadona grocery store. So we decided to stay the night.

There are a lot of churches in this town!

Balconies decorated for Easter.

The town square is closed and set up for the Easter processions.

The main church is the Iglesia de Santa Catalina, built in the 16th century.

Some of the Easter floats.

And more.

Hardly anybody around though. Of course, it was Good Friday holiday, so everything was closed up except for a few bars and restaurants.

Lots of "for rent" and "for sale" signs though. I went online and checked out prices and things are definitely cheaper in this non tourist town fairly far from the coast. A nice semi-furnished two bedroom apartment in a modern building with an elevator goes for €360 ($535 CAD, $395 USD) per month.

Back at Max, we relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. On the road out front, some guys on horses were dressed up for some kind of event.

Caesar, off to the chariot races?

Not often you see a chariot going down the road!

In the evening, we wandered back downtown to see what was going on. A lot more people about, and the procession was beginning. We didn't stick around long. If you've seen one Easter procession, you've seen them all!

This morning, laundry and grocery shopping are on the agenda. We'll then head a little further north. No idea where we are spending the night! It looks like another sunny blue sky day...
