We're parked up on top of a cliff with a beautiful view of the sea, and are able to watch the ships coming in and out of Santander harbor. It's actually amazing that this quiet spot exists so close to the city.
We are literally only 4 kms (2.5 miles) from the hectic motorhome aire we had come from.
There is a beautiful coastal walk that runs out past the lighthouse...
The sky didn't look very good when we set out.
This used to be a natural bridge.
Looks like it collapsed not that long ago, but it could have been twenty years ago. Who knows.
*Edit: Ruth looked it up... it collapsed November 2010.
Looking back at the cliffs.
Spring wildflowers.
Me, having some fun exploring.
We are headed to the little hill past the lighthouse.
Zoomed in... looks like a popular spot on a Sunday!
Yep, there are quite a few people up there.
Looking back at the lighthouse.
You get a good view of the city from that spot.
Santander, Spain.
Ruth and the view.
Heading back to Max.
By the time we got back, the skies were clearing up, and it turned into a nice afternoon.
View from Max's side window.
Back at Max, I had some work to do... I had to finish doing our taxes. I always have to pay every year, so I leave it to the last minute. I had been trying to do a little each day, and really, I was pretty much done other than just reviewing things. Got it all filed, and then sent the Canadian government a bunch of money. That's okay, at least I know they spend it wisely...lol!
Later in the afternoon, Ruth spotted a kestrel hovering. It was quite far away, but the zoom on our camera always amazes me!
I took a video for you so you could see how far away the bird was...
Looks like Monday has started off as a nice day, and we're off to do the coastal walk in the opposite direction.
