It also gives us a chance to do a deep clean on Max. While Ruth spent a good chunk of the day doing laundry, I emptied out Max's storage area and vacuumed and wiped it out. Then with access to a ladder and a supply of water, I got up on the roof and gave it a good scrub.
Me, up on the roof.
They even had a nice extendable wash brush that I could use.
It sure is a lot easier and faster to clean Max's roof than Sherman's was! Of course Max is 7' shorter than Sherman.
I cleaned all the roof vents as well.
There! That's better!
But, we wanted to get out for a walk as well, so I put off the rest of the wash job until this morning.
The house and the backyard.
In the fields.
The sea is about 5 kms (3 miles) away.
Lots of places to walk, but there's not really that much to see.
We went over to see the cows head in for milking.
Lots of cows!
Yep, looks about ready for milking.
Mooo!
The dairy farm.
We're hoping for a tour of the operation when our host family returns. That should be interesting.
Another sunny blue sky day here in Ireland. I'm going to finish washing Max's exterior, then we're going to walk over to the beach.

And in Canada...
What a great place to relax and catch up. "Up on the roof", that's a song :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a wonderful spot to do all that. Max is looking pretty sharp now. :-)
DeleteNow, I can't get that song out of my mind, thanks, lol!
