Visiting with old friends

Yesterday, Ruth and I drove about 20 minutes into the city where we met up with my older sister Elaine, and went for a 5 km (3 mile) power walk with her. Nice to switch things up and get a change of scenery.

Didn't take any photos though. It was just a middle class residential neighborhood, so nothing really photo worthy.

We'll see Elaine again on Saturday when she and my mom are coming over here for lunch.

Next, we headed up to The Swan on The Rideau pub where we had been invited for lunch! This is actually where our daughter Lindsey used to work, and we like the pub atmosphere and they make a good fish and chips.

I've known Tyler since I first got into the auto body repair business back in 1982 when I was 20 years old. He was the accountant at the shop I worked at, and we became friends over the years. He was also my partner and accountant at the shop I owned throughout the 1990's.

Always lots of laughs, and we enjoy seeing them every year when we return to this area.

On Monday, Ruth had got together with a couple of girls that she's known since public school. I forgot that she had taken an ussie that day as well...

And today, Ruth is out for lunch again, this time with a girl she used to work with at the hair cutting place where I first met Ruth over 40 years ago!
