We've been here a full month!

Man, we've had some great weather this month. It's one of the reasons we like coming to Canada in September. The kids are back in school, the mosquitoes are pretty much done... and the weather is usually decent.

We're actually ending the month (and starting October) with a bit of a heat wave... high today of 24C (75F) and increasing to 28C (82F) by the time we fly out on Tuesday!

Yesterday, we drove over to a park beside the Rideau River to go for a walk.

The leaves are a little late changing color this year.

But there is some color starting.

This tree is looking good!

By the middle of next week they should be right in the best part of fall colors.

Today is our last full day here at the house. We've been here a full month! The owners return home tomorrow, but we don't actually leave Ottawa Airport until Tuesday morning. So we have a friend coming over to pick us up early tomorrow morning and drop us at Ruth's brother Colin's place for two nights, then he will take us to the airport Tuesday morning where we catch our flight to Halifax.
