Vacation is almost over!

Well, our six week vacation back to Canada is almost over. This coming Saturday we will return to our normal life of travel.

We are really excited about the next few months. Actually, the next few weeks! What a crazy start it is going to be!

On Saturday, we fly Halifax to Toronto, and then Toronto to Paris. Once again, we are not going into the city. We will make it there one day! We overnight at an Airbnb close to the airport, then the next day we fly from Paris to Istanbul. We're in Istanbul for two nights and then we fly Istanbul to Ashgabat.

Lots of time in airports coming up!

Then we do minimum 5 nights in Turkmenistan, but possibly as many as 9. We do not have it fully planned out yet because we are waiting to hear back from the tour operator. Either way, we will head from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan where we will end the month of October.

And then we're going to pretty much wing it!

We've got quite a few highlights marked on our map as far as things we want to see and do, but we do not yet have any accommodation booked. We're going to try to stay in as many local guesthouses as possible, so we'll just see how it goes.

And then we'll play it by ear based on the weather. November should be okay, but by December it will be starting to get chilly. We want to see Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan as well, but we realize that six weeks is not much time to see five countries. So again, we'll just play it by ear.

And when the weather says it's cold enough, we'll head to Thailand. We don't have any flights booked yet though.

But we've still got six days here in Nova Scotia!

Sadie and I playing a game.

Justin and Cameron playing with LEGO.

Some more kids joined in.
LEGO everywhere!

We went to Justin's father's place for Canadian Thanksgiving dinner.

Out for walk at Noggins Farm after dinner.

  2. Happy (belated) Thanksgiving! I thought it was kinda funny to see a "USA" t-shirt at the dining table...on Canadian turkey day! Your upcoming travels sound exciting and very adventurous. Looking forward to following along, as always.
